A ssociation of Celtic Students of Ireland and Britain ~ Inaugural Conference, Edinburgh 16 th March 2013. Information and Call for Papers. The conference will be held in the department of Celtic and Scottish Studies at the University of Edinburgh on Saturday 16 March 2013. The Association has been set up to promote academic and social connections between undergraduate and postgraduate students of Celtic Studies (including those whose courses are specifically Irish, Welsh or Scottish Gaelic etc.), and is currently led by a provisional steering committee (see below). The first permanent committee will be elected at the AGM to be held as part of the inaugural conference. So far the Association and the conference have aroused considerable interest among students in Scotland, Ireland, Wales and England, and we hope that the event will be a great success and that it will move to other universities in future years.
