Call for Papers and Posters ( doc ) Association of Celtic Students of Ireland and Britain Fifth Annual Conference University of Glasgow, Scotland 24-26 March 2017 The Association of Celtic Students of Ireland and Britain will be holding its fifth annual conference at the University of Glasgow, Scotland on Saturday and Sunday, the 24th and 25th March 2017. The aim of the Association is to encourage and bring together socially students of all fields under the Celtic umbrella: be it language, literature, culture, history and beyond. Official launch of the Association at the National Eisteddfod, 2013 / Lansiad swyddogol y Gymdeithas yn yr Eisteddfod Genedlaethol, 2013 Call for Papers The Association of Celtic Studies Students of Ireland and Britain will be holding its second annual conference at the University of Aberystwyth on Saturday 22 nd  March 2014. The aim of the Association is to bring together students of Celtic from across the different Celtic languages and countries, in order to promote and defend the discipline and the languages themselves. We seek to encourage the study of these languages by students, and to emphasise the interdisciplinary and multi-lingual nature of Celtic Studies as an academic field. We invite proposals for 15-minute papers on any subject relating to the Celtic languages and their attendant literatures and cultures from students of Celtic or related disciplines, both postgraduate and undergraduate. A ssociation of Celtic Students of Ireland and Britain ~ Inaugural Conference, Edinburgh 16 th March 2013. Information and Call for Papers. The conference will be held in the department of Celtic and Scottish Studies at the University of Edinburgh on Saturday 16 March 2013. The Association has been set up to promote academic and social connections between undergraduate and postgraduate students of Celtic Studies (including those whose courses are specifically Irish, Welsh or Scottish Gaelic etc.), and is currently led by a provisional steering committee (see below). The first permanent committee will be elected at the AGM to be held as part of the inaugural conference. So far the Association and the conference have aroused considerable interest among students in Scotland, Ireland, Wales and England, and we hope that the event will be a great success and that it will move to other universities in future years.
